Yesterday, a new clip on long-awaiting single “Holiday” of Lil Nas X was dropped on Youtube. The Take a Daytrip production duo, known for their work on viral track “Panini”, came up to produce the Lil Nas X’s first song since last year’s 7 EP. The song is expected to take peak position on Billboard Hot 100 chart just like previous composition of these producers.

The outsatnding 7 EP was released on 21st June, 2019, and included the most successfull tracks in Lil Nas X career – “Old Town Road”, “Panini” and “Rodeo”. “Old Town Road” attained 1st place on Billboard Hot 100 in the spring of 2019 and hold this position for a long time, as well as striking Billy Ray Cyrus remix that won a Grammy award in 6th nominations – tht’a why it’s worth mentioning in our pop music blog. Lil Nas X shined on the stage with his “Rodeo” track at the awards ceremony in January. Then, at the beginning of February, music video for “Rodeo” was released. Despite controversial reviews from critics, the EP was adored by public. Since that time young artist took a break to prepare something highly impressive. And upcoming winter holidays served as inspiration.
The concept of the merry Christmas-theme music video was created by director Gibson Hazard and Lil Nas X himself. From the first seconds, viewer can plunge into magical atmosphere of Christmas Eve. Lil Nas X appears as Santa Claus in the North Pole. The clip starts from showing Santa-Lil in cool chromatic costume. He oversees his charges, depicted as elves-robots and rides in a luxurious red sled pulled by robotic reindeers. It’s hard to describe level of futuristic insights in this video. So you must see it with your eyes.
For Lil Nas X it’s already a common sing to be a crossdresser. That’s why the teaser to the clip featured a cameo by Back to the Future star Michael J. Fox. T.
Among other Lil Nas X‘s TV appearances we must note his participating in The Not-Too-Late Show with Elmo and the Punk’d reboot for Quibi hosted by Chance the Rapper. He was invited to join the Recording Academy in July – Music Academy of the USA, founded in 1957 and giving the Grammy awards – along with celebrities Gunna, Ozuna, Victoria Monét, and others.
