This year Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony was held online to follow the social distancing measures. The special stream was available for the HBO users a few days ago, on 7th November. The edition had such inductees as Depeche Mode, Doobie Brothers, Whitney Houston, Nine Inch Nails, Notorious B.I.G., T-Rex, storied talent managers Jon Landau and Irving Azoff.

“While this year’s program will be different than those of years past, we look forward to recognizing their impact on the industry, their fans and the next generation of artists,” states Joel Peresman, President and CEO of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Foundation.

Dave Grohl from Foo Fighters was one to open the show with a heartfelt introduction to this year’s class of inductees, and the special guests. As a tradition, they prepared a speech about how the 2020 Inductees impacted their personal life and profession.

The induction ceremony held by HBO was full of touching moments, including Guns N’ Roses member Slash admiring the creativity and labor of late rock icon and Hall of Famer Eddie Van Halen.

He said, among others, that Van Holen was an exceptionally gifted and innovative musician. During his tribute Slash put an accent on uniqueness and massive impact that Eddie Van Holen had on guitar playing. It’s obvious that there’s nobody who wouldn’t be touched by his impact whem starting to play the guitar since 1978. For Slash it’s actually a sad feeling to know that Van Holen isn’t with him as friend and musician anymore.

Celebrities invited consisted of mentioned above Dave Grohl, as well as Luke Bryan, Don Henley, Miley Cyrus, Ringo Starr, Billy Idol, Chris Martin, Bruce Springsteen, and Nancy Wilson, among others.
